mo2-nexus-collections-downloader

there are a couple of collections downloaders on nexusmods, however most/all of them struggle with one of three things:

  • they are bound to next.nexusmods.com, which is no longer in use
  • they use the old graphql endpoint
  • they use mod organizer 2's built-in python, which doesn't support https (somehow)

installation

drop nxmcollectionsdownloader.py into the plugins directory in your mod organizer 2 install.

usage

the downloader can be found under Tools > Tool Plugins > Download Nexus Collection.

  1. obtain any current nexusmods collection url, such as https://www.nexusmods.com/games/starfield/collections/49slmk. ensure you remove /mods or /revision/xyz from the end.
  2. pick a revision. unless you know to do otherwise, pick the latest one.
  3. ???
  4. profit

faq

does this work on x game?
probably. any game with collections supported on nexusmods should function the same, as they all use the same api.

can you add x feature?
feel free to do whatever you like with the code yourself.

license

insufficient changes were made to claim any copyright on the updated code. the patched version was, as far as public information indicates, licensed under the MIT license. if you must use a license, use that one; i ascribe copyright to the authors referenced in the credits.
